Two siblings, one court, zero business plan
ProPadel was started by Kevin and Sharon Maher, two siblings from Dublin who found padel for very different reasons. Sharon as a powerful recovery path after a battle with cancer in 2024. Kevin because at 40 he was no longer getting around the football pitch the way he once did.
Neither of them set out to open a shop. They set out to play, found that getting decent gear in Ireland meant either paying a premium in a general sports shop or waiting three weeks for a box from Spain and then paying customs on it, and decided that was a stupid situation for a sport growing this fast.
The Mahers believe that so much of the issues, real and imaginary, facing our communities could be solved through sport, through personal development, and if all else fails maybe through a couple of post padel pints.
So that is what this is. Stock held in Dublin. Advice from people who actually play. And an honest answer when the racket you are asking about is the wrong one for you, even when the wrong one costs more.

What we go on about
Family values
Dublin based, family run, and genuinely interested in getting more people onto a court. There is no head office and no quarterly target driving what we recommend.
No discrimination
Our services are available to everyone, even hyroxers. Vegans and cyclists may need to be referred by an existing customer.
Match pints
Premium gear for the court, and social events for after. Padel is about more than the game, and most of what makes it stick happens in the twenty minutes afterwards.
